Papa Gino’s recognized Haverhill’s Public Works Department employees as
everyday heroes as part of its Pizza My Heart initiative. The workers were treated to a stack of complimentary pizzas, and Mayor James Fiorentini presented them with an official citation in recognition of the honor and their hard work and dedication to the community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Papa Gino’s launched the initiative in early 2020, inspired by the good deeds of residents. Community members can nominate a person or group for the recognition. Recipients enjoy free pizza provided by the company.
